A Simple Woman's Daybook - January 11th Edition

For Today...

Outside my window... a blanket of white... but it's warming up! 30's this week!
I am thankful... that I seem to be feeling better today!
From the kitchen... leftovers and meats from Alaska (caribou, musk ox, reindeer, and salmon)!
I am wearing... new pj pants (cream colored with blues pine prints) and a light blue t-shirt.
I am creating... a plan for a busy week.
I am going... to see my sister, Emily, on Wednesday! I'm so excited to spend an evening with her and Finley!
I am reading... "An Echo in the Bone" by Diana Gabaldon, and "A Beautiful Mess" by Rick McKinley.
I am hoping... I'm past whatever was wrong with me... I'm ready to feel good and energetic again!
I am hearing... the washer and the dryer... otherwise, quiet.
Some plans for the week... meetings, dinner with a college student, book group, more meetings, small group, open sanctuary, dinner and a movie night... and then a restful weekend, I hope!
One of my favorite things... our 3M gifts from my aunt! She works at 3M, and every year sends us bags of post-it notes, band-aids, dish scrubbies, tape, etc. I love my varieties of post-it notes!
A picture thought I am sharing: our cedar-plank mashed potatoes. Yum-a-roomie! Smokey, slightly spicy, and a little rich. They are to die for! Good job, hubby!
Things I am thankful for today:

1. Waking up without pain.
2. A good night's sleep.
3. Getting a lot of work done.
4. A clean house.
5. Laundry done.
6. Looking forward to dinner with Kelsey!
7. Teresa's Mexican restaurant.
8. A good Neighbor's Inc meeting - and shorter than expected!
9. Funny stories about dating in college - ahhhh... the memories.
10. Homemade candies for dessert. Yum. Thanks, Kels!

Sounds busy but fun...is the idea meeting (Wednesday) the one where we plan for Passionate Spirtuality??

Those are mashed potatoes? It looks like bread! I had a great time with Kelsey yesterday - it's so good to see her.
