A Simple Woman's Daybook - March 1st Edition

For Today...

Outside my window... an amazingly beautiful day!  The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the snow is melting.  This could trick us into thinking spring is on the way... Except we live in MN...  It will snow again - probably a few times!
I am thankful... for a weekend to myself.  Indulgent, fun, busy and restful.  It was good.
From the kitchen... leftovers of Pioneer Woman's Artichoke and Tomato Spaghetti - yum.  I'm not sure what else we'll make this week...  Something good!
I am wearing... workout clothes.  Black capris, a lavender tank, and little white socks!
I am going... bra shopping this afternoon...  Are you jealous?  Ha ha ha.
I am reading... "Fearless" by Max Lucado.
I am hoping... I can find a way to preach about "fasting" in a fun way... so it doesn't sound so scary and weird...
I am hearing... my workout mix on the ipod...  a little Amy Winehouse, Ben Harper, Brett Dennen, Maroon 5, etc.
Some plans for the week... a board meeting at Neighbor's Inc, Book Group, Lenten Dinner and service project, Open Sanctuary, another meeting, and Bedraces for Bridging!
One of my favorite things... pixand text messages on my phone.. especially from mischievious friends!
A picture thought I am sharing: So, when my sister and her family moved to Alaska, we knew we'd be hearing some funny stories about life in Alaska..  But this takes the cake so far!  Spain has the running of the bulls...  Anchorage has the running of the reindeer!  My brother-in-law, Karlin, took part this weekend!  Too funny!  (This picture is from Google images - It's not Karlin, but it gives you an idea...)
Things I am thankful for today:

1.  Homemade granola bread for breakfast.
2.  Reading "The Happiness Project."
3.  A great workout!
4.  A good music mix on the ipod - much needed when working out!
5.  Sunshine!
6.  Good things happening at Neighbor's Inc.
7.  Advil.
8.  Granola and milk.
9.  Fuzzy blankets.
10.  A clear sky full of stars!

I'm adding the Happiness Project to my list of five books to complete before turning 35 (I've finished one so far!). Megan, I am jealous of bra shopping. I REALLY need some new ones. I guess I better make that a priority soon ;)
